Radar wedge

My radar mounting spot keeps the radar at rest. I had not thought of running a wedge until I saw another post with the belief that when I most needed radar (fog/low visibility) that I would be going slow (under 6-7knts) not on plane. I do get a little bow rise at that speed, but not much. I do get significant bow rise at cruising speeds (25knts+)

From the boat to 5 miles out is what I am concerned with, not long distance. Should I consider a 2-4 degree wedge? What size 7x7 or 8x8 inch?

Attached is the boats in various stages (with the 4DRSD that I sold, at rest at the dock without radar and at about 30knts) I plan on at least a 1.5" spacer to get it higher above the light.

Any thoughts?

Looking at the boat, I think it would be okay as it is with the DRS4D but if you went with the DRS4DNXT then you most likely would benefit from a 4 degree wedge mount.

Thanks!

I am switching out from the 4KW dome to NXT this weekend. I will get the 4 degree wedge.
