Radar model 1622 / 1623?

I was boarded, arracked and robbed upon arrival in Fortaleza, Brazil last April.
Among the items stolen was my radar display.
I wish to replace it and have noticed a couple for sale on eBay.
Question: is there any chance the 2621 mk II or 1623 didplays would work with the dome snd cable from my 1622 unit? I can't afford a complete new unit.

No. Those units were entry-level radar systems and their components are not interchangeable. You would need a complete 1621mk2, 1622 or 1623 radar system (display, cable and dome). A quick Internet search shows that a new 1623 can be purchased for around $1250 USD ($1795 MSRP).

I am sorry to hear about your experience. Like Reaper said, you can't mix radar parts on these radars but you can re-use your existing scanner cable if it is still good. You could use the existing cable and then use the dome and display from a new 1623. Being that running the cable is normally one of the most difficult tasks of installing a radar, maybe this will help a bit. You can NOT use 1623 display with the 1622 dome or vice versa because the electronics are not compatible.
