pump selection

I am looking at the 711 autopilot. I have a 41 Convertible with twin rudders and a HC 5801-2 steering ram. The documentation shows the ram at 21 cu in.
OCT16-12
HRP-17-12

Which pump is correct? and is there a 24 volt version? I have 24 volts easily available.

If I am correct I only need the 711C head and the 700 processor,
I already have a working Furuno system with a SCX20 and a rudder reference.
I am replacing a Garmin GHP 20 system

What happened with the existing pilot? To run that cylinder at 24v, you would want the PUMPHRP17-24 rated for rams of 14-25 cubic inches of displacement running 24v. The NAVpilot 711C would be needed due to the current draw. Because it comes with the PG700 compass, you would want to work with the selling dealer to see if they would remove and credit that for you as part of the deal. As you point out, you don't need that. You have the much better SCX20.

Thanks
They are checking to see if the pump is in stock,
I am replacing the Garmin to have better control through the TZT3 units

I have the TZT3's , scx20 and a rudder reference,

is the 711c, FAP7002 and the pump all that I need plus some NMEA cables?
I realize I will need some plumbing connections also.

I am trying to get it all ordered.

The basics you should consider:

Pilot Processor - FAP7002
Pilot Control head - FAP7011 (Up to six)
Rudder Reference Unit - FAP6112
Heading sensor - SCX20 (Have)
1x NMEA2000 drop cable (go between FAP7002 and NMEA2000 Backbone)
Hydraulic Helm (Have)
Hydraulic Ram (Have)
Pump - PUMPOCT16-12 (If you need bigger than 1.6L, we would like to know)
Hoses: Helm to pump (STBD), (Port), (Return), Pump to cylinder (STBD, PORT)
Tees: 4x Tees, 2x Elbows
(OPTIONAL): Follow-up lever
(OPTIONAL): SAFEHELM2 Sensor
(OPTIONAL): FI-70 data organizer

Hope this helps, :sail
