Pixellated Display

Is there any adjustment to settings that will provide a smoother display image in shallow water than you see here (internal TZT 2 driving B60)? It gets much better in deeper water but still a little blocky looking.

Turn off Rez Boost and get me another picture, please.

I didn’t have the USB drive to take a screen shot so I used my phone. You can see in the middle where I changed the settting to turn off Rezboost. Not a great photo but it is definitely a bit smoother.

Have you turned off all the advanced features like RezBoost, AccuFish, and Bottom Discrimination? Picture advance set to 1:1? Transmit rate set to 20? That last photo has signs of noise being picked up from something.

In both screen shots the Bottom Discrimination is on. When the BD mode is on it changes the sounders pulse length and uses both frequencies, even if you are only looking at one. The BD mode also is deactivated in less than 16ft of water.

That was the source of the problem. I turned off the various advanced features one at a time. Bottom discrimination had by far the greatest effect but the pixellation was also improved by turning off Accu-fish and to a lesser extent Rezboost. Thanks for the help.
