Options to Mirror TZtouch12 besides Ipad. Issues with Ipad.

I have a TZ touch 12" with the latest software. Which is glitchy compared to what it came with, but that's another issue.

I have the 12" at the helm, and a Ipad in the tower mirroring the 12"
This is not really a workable option.
The TZ12 works very slowly when connected to the Ipad.
The Ipad works fine for half the day, then fails to connect. Just all of a sudden stops receiving the mirrored image of the main unit at the helm.
And the touch functions up top are terrible slow.

So is there any other way of viewing the main Touch 12" that is actually reliable, other than buying another Touch 2 or 3?
Like an older Furuno display?
Ipad is older, does that have an effect?
What are other people using?

Very old iPads can be slow. I guess old is relative but it is worth having a friend try is newer iPad to see if you might want to upgrade the tablet. Wifi signal can also be a problem depending on placement and layers. It is possible to configure a wifi router to the Ethernet and connect the tablet to that rather than directly to the unit. We have instructions posted under the TZT14 product page. You could also consider using the DVI-D output from the TZT14 and drive a monitor at the second location. The you could use an RF mouse, MCU002, MCU004 or other control device like the control APP to control the screen at the other location.
