Hello,

I am interfacing my old 10" Navnet Vx2 to the rest of my electronics through a ShipModul multiplexer. I have Data2 configured how i think it should be but i am only getting the following sentences out of the vx2.

$GPRMC,001122,A,4739.8146,N,12223.0656,W,0.0,227.2,220495,0.0,E*6E
$PSMDCF,A
$PFEC,GPint,ast01*13
$PAMTC,SIM,Q*4D

Attached is a pic of the data2 port setup on the vx2 and the enabled sentences. I have tried changing the baud rate, output destination, etc with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

-Justin

You have way too many sentences turned on if the connection is 4800 baud. The NavNet is not the heading source. Even if you put heading out it is only 1 times a second and not good for much. Why are you not taking heading directly from the heading source on the boat? It makes it worse that you are putting out two types of heading. It might be getting regirugated or data looping back to the original source. That data really doesn't truly seem to be directly from the Vx2. $PAMTC is an Airmar proprietary sentence, not Furuno.

Thanks for the reply, honestly I was turning on and off different sentences just to see if i can get anything out. I turned off all sentences except DPT. I see it once when the unit powers up but then not again. Thoughts?
