NMEA 2000 Network Power vs. TZTL12F Power

My NMEA 2000 network is currently powered up only when the ignition key for my motors is turned on. Does it matter that the N2K network may not be powered up when the MFDs are operating? I don't think so, but just making sure.

If the N2K bus is not powered, then your either your N2K sensors wont power up and turn on or, (if externally powered device) there wont be any data being transmitted through the N2K bus.

So that being said, the N2K bus needs to be powered on in order for data to be sent and displayed on your TZTs.

You need to move your N2K over to a switch or off the main house power. It sounds like you are coming off the key on circuit.
