NMEA 0183 Output from SC-30 / IF-NMEA2K2

I have a SC-30 compass and IF-NMEA2K2 converter that I am trying to use to supply a NMEA 0183 HEHDT string to a stabilized VSAT antenna that only accepts NMEA 0183. I am getting 0183 output from the NMEA converter to my PC over RS-232. I would like to program the device to only give an HEHDT output, as the antennas tend to experience intermittent issues when strings other than HEHDT are present. Is it possible to do this?

Since you are using the IF-NMEA2k2 converter you are limited to the sentences outputted by the converter (see table attached). There's no way to modify the sentence in this converter so everything getting output from this would be in hyperterminal "$GP_."

Hope this clarifies,

Basically you are looking for a converter that can take incoming string matches and retransmit them in a new heading true formatted string ($HEHDT,xxx.x,T*[CS]). In this manner the $xxHDG, $xxHDM, $xxVHW and the $xxRMC may be converted to the $HEHDT.

We do not sell a converter like this, but they do exist. I would search online.

Hope this helps, :sail
