New radar purchase questions

We are considering our radar choice for our new boat which is under construction. The boat is a 24-meter aluminum full displacement powerboat which will have two helm stations, flybridge and main. Currently, we planning to put a TZTL12F on the fly bridge, and at the inside helm we'll have several monitors running TimeZero Pro from a PC.

We are drawn to the commercial grade stand alone 1835, but I want to know if it is possible to project to a second screen, and if so, what the options are for that screen. Can TimeZero work with a signal from that radar, or would we have to buy an entire second 1835DISP, or is there some other option I'm not aware of?

Eventually, we want to have two radars for redundancy. Thinking of the 1835 as a back-up and the first radar would be a solid state open array, perhaps the DRS6ANXT.

We would like to start with one radar system and add the second later, and we would like to know if we could start with the 1835 and see it at both nav stations.

Thanks in advance.

The 1835 series is still considered a Light Marine Product. (Although it isn't uncommon to see some Light Marine products used in commercial applications) If you want the first level commercial series you would be looking at the FR8065 series.

TimeZero Pro will not connect to the FR1835 but you can always ask Nobeltec/TimeZero those types of questions.

The 1835 will allow you to have one slave (FMD) remote display connected. (Like the FMD1835)

luke343,

Yes, you can purchase a DRS4D 4kW Radar Sensor for around $2600.00 retail, and it will integrate with Nobeltec's TimeZero giving you radar capability.
