Hi: I'm previously had Lowrance units, I now have a new 1870f a with the P66;

The last time out, the Unit read the bottom very good while drifting or traveling max at 15 mph, but none of the bottom screens read the bottom while even traveling 20mph plus until I hit a slow speed zone then after that the split screen to the far right picked up the bottom while traveling 30mph; the others did not. (the 1870f has 6 set screens and the last screen with the split bottom screen on the far right) Hope this makes sense.

Good afternoon Mburk001,

Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like the transducer is experiencing moments of turbulence and is not all that uncommon for transom mount transducers. The right side of the screen is typically high frequency when set to a dual frequency display. The rule of thumb is the higher the frequency the less susceptible to noise. Next time your out, have somebody take a picture of the screen showing both frequencies while at slow speeds then take a photo while traveling above 15mph. If you could post them to the forum we could look at them to verify what is happening.

Kind Regards,

C-Bass
