New build with XL's

I am building a new vessel and am planning on installing the new 22XL's. I am going to be using the Mercury V10's. I would like to use a Furuno TZT9 to function as the vessel view gauge and also function a source for the 1k transducer (175HW). Will this function similiar to the vessel view? I also would like to keep track of my fuel burned. Does Furuno have a fuel management system that will give you an estimated range, fuel burn rate, and total fuel used on a trip?
I just want to make sure I cover my bases, the other option would I would have to use the Mercury Vessel View and purchase a DFF1 uhd as well as a DFF3 uhd to power my two transducers.

The XL system (and other Furuno items) needs to see NMEA 2000 engine data PGNs. This is normally done via either a Mercury gateway or a Mercury vessel view system. You might consider a gateway and rather than using the TZT9F or TZT10x, consider the lower cost and very capable GP1971F or GP1871F. They offer great engine displays and it would offer you some backup GPS if not buried too far into the boat. I suppose it depends if you want full NavNet features at that unit or just a unit to be primarily for gauges.

We've got the screens installed! Looking forward to getting the Furuno team onboard to commision this system.

Seen many let the smoke out by not sealing the array. Cover the bolts also to ensure the scratches in the paint caused by them are sealed as well. Too many people don't and wonder why water gets under the paint causing it to peel off. Installation manual being followed is key to a good long working install. Here is how mine look when done.

Great info, what do you suggest to be used? It will be me handling it. Also does anyone have any experience tying a Victron GX system into the Furuno? I am a bit lost with the ethernet stuff. We took delivery on Saturday. We worked out some kinks and made the crossing to West End. I am really liking the Furuno package. The autopilot tracks very true.

The starlink with the apple tv is next level. I have that hooked to the Fusion with an optical cable. I have the apple tv hooked to the Starboard XL. Having youtube music is awesome.

Smoking hot XL system and great looking boat. Furuno provides 3Bond sealant with every Open array radar sold. If the sealant is lost, West Marine sells a good sealant in a tube that fits a standard caulking gun. You want the sealant that is removable and won't weld the antenna to the gearbox.

Thanks Johnny,
When I went out to the boat after reading this thread I went to take a look. The guys at Costa did indeed perform the sealant. I was very relieved! 20240604_071046.jpg
A couple things, will the XL allow a dual page on the same display utilizing the Dff3 and Dff1 simultaneously? Also has anyone here had experiencing integrating the Victron Energy controls onto the Furuno? I have a Cerbo Gx and a 12/2000 inverter I would like to access. Overall the system 20240604_084445.jpg20240604_094658.jpgis incredible. The bird radar is the best I've ever used. It put us on them with very quickly while off Freeport.

Nice photos. You can only have one Fisher selected per processor. It is possible to run a Fish finder and a mult-beam sonar and side-scan all at once if equipped. You can not have two fish finders on the same processor but you can select a different fish finder on the left processor versus the right processor. I have to agree that no one beats Furuno radar. Looks like a great day on the water.
