NavPilot 511 ignores my command

Hello,
My NavPilot 511 has recently started misbehaving. After a few minutes (10-15 minutes) in Auto mode, it ignores the provided command for direction and steers the boat to a ~40⁰ heading/COG. No matter what correction I make to the command, the Auto field is updated on the controller screen but the autopilot ignores it, and only moves the rudder to obey the ghost ~40⁰ command.

Restarting the unit doesn't help, the ~40⁰ ghost command is still there, immediately. After switching off the unit off for a few days, it seemed to be back to normal but the problem reoccurred after 10min in Auto mode.

The heading is reported correctly by the screen and matches the compass within the local deviation. The position and the COG shown on the autopilot screen are correct and the rudder angle is also shown correctly.

Any ideas what could be causing the issue?

Many thanks

If running auto it involves two things HEADING and HYDRAULICS. Please verify the heading shown on the pilot reads within 2 or 3 degrees of your COG from the GPS and your helm steering compass going each direction N,S,E,W. If that is good and the boat steers okay by hand, the next step would be to re-do the dockside setup and run the rudder test in the water. It could be someone changed a parameter without re-running the rudder test or try doing dockside out of the water. It could be the RRU values have changed and needs to be reestablished as part of the dockside. The pilot needs to pass the dockside test in the water. Everything by the sound of it sounds like the RRU setup and need to run the rudder test.
