Navpilot 300

Brand new Seavee 290 rigged with full Furuno electronics package: 2 TZT2 12 inch MFD, NXT Doppler radar and Nav Pilot 300. This was the first 29 built with full Furuno package and as such their factory techs came and spent a day dialing in everything during the initial factory quality control sea trials.

Got boat home. The unit turned on the first time I tried and showed the compass heading while sitting in the marina. Powered it off. Have run the boat for a week inshore and now can not get the unit to boot up. Get a "unit can't connect to processor" message on a black screen.

Haven't touched anything in the rigging.

I travel during the week and not available to call tech from the boat during the week.

Anybody seen this and have a fix?

Sounds like something with the NMEA 2000 bus. If you continue to have problems I would recommend calling technical support with a multimeter handy. If the boat builder conducted the install maybe they have someone with a Maretron NMEA 2000 tester or can loan you one.
