Navpilot 300 Installation Question.

Can I power up the NavPilot 300 display and processor via nmea 2000 and 12v power to processor without electrically connecting the hydraulic pump. Would anything be damaged to the processing unit?
I just want to test if the MFD sees the autopilot for now.

Yes, you can connect them and power them without any issues. Of course until the pump is connected, the pilot won't actually run the boat. It will power up and work so you can check connections and seeing it on the MFD.
