First off you do NOT want to have any of the HUB101 power sync switches turned on when using it with the NNVx2 system. The power sync feature is only when using the NN3D system.
If you were using an off the shelf hub, I would worry about your cross over/straight cable combinations but the hub101 has auto sensing ports and that should take care of any cabling issue, as long as the cables are good (straight or cross).
At this point I would say it is one or more of the following issues:
1. Power sync switch(s) turned on in the hub101.
2. Bad RJ45 to RJ45 cable going to sounder.
3. Software in the displays not setup properly to see the connected sounder.
4. The mismatch of having a very old software unit mixed with a newer software unit is causing a bus problem.
I would recommend the following actions.
1. Turn off all power sync switches in the hub101
2. Disconnect the older software unit (RDP148) from the hub
If still not working leave the display on and look at the sounder stby light and tell me what it is doing after three minutes of being turned on. If solid, there is a communications issue and the sounder doesn't see the display. Most likely a bad RJ45 to RJ45 sounder cable. If the light is flashing at a normal 1 sec on, 1 sec off, rate; then it sees your NavNet fine but your NavNet is failing to see it. This would be a simple setup mistake it the display. If the light is flash quickly it is a sounder error. If the light is off it is a power issue or the mode switches are in the wrong position.
Once you have the newer software display working fine with the sounder, you can try adding the old software display unit to the network. Ideally, you want to get the display upgraded right away. You never want to run units with software mixed especially when they are so far apart. The old software is older than I have ever heard of and most likely isn't what you think. Can you please provide the full program number from the unit?
