Navnet VX2 AIS and Radar targets offset?

Hi,

The boat came with a VX2 with FA-50 AIS and I can't recall the exact radar as I'm off the boat, but it's a 36 mile range Furuno radar.

The issue I have is that AIS overlay targets and Radar targets are off by a considerable degree.

I took this photo right before I left the boat. I believe the range is set to 2nm, FYI. This offset exists between radar and the CMAP charts when we approach land also.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Before adding complexity like AIS, you must ensure all the unit settings are correct and radar is properly aligned with the bow of the boat. I recommend starting the setup over and align the radar. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3443&hilit=heading+align#p12604
