That plotter has NMEA 2000 so when connected to the 2000 bus with the pilot, it should communicate fine as long as you turn on the PGNs. (Navigation data, Navigation and Waypoint data, Cross track error) If the plotter is also the GPS source, you would want to turn on the GPS position PGNs so the pilot gets that too. Manytimes GPS will be on the bus direct from a smart NMEA 2000 sensor, then you wouldn't turn on GPS from the plotter.
