Nav 711c pg500 to Garmin mfd

Hi all,

Hoping to use the pg 500 to talk to the Garmin mfds as a heading sensor, and have heard the 711 will network with Garmin with some functionality through routes on the mfd.

Anyone seen this done before?

It should work but ensure that the Garmin isn't an old one using RS232 NMEA ports or you will need a RS232/RS422 converter.
