Hi. I have furuno 1870f. I have a problem. My furuno morning to first night very good performans to deep. I see rock sand everythink. But when i go to fish night 02.00 03.00 04.00 i try realy i dont see. The deep is nothing nothing nothing. Pls help me. Thank you

Thank you for you inquiry. We need to have more details and explanation in order to help out. Just saying the unit does not work at night does not give us any way to help. Please post some photos of the sounder fishing in the day when it is working and photos at night when it does not appear to be finding bottom. We also need to know how you have the sounder set up? Gain, Clutter, TVG ect. Please provide as much detail as you can.

are you referring to not seeing the bottom discrimination mode on the GP1870F echo sounder? please be aware that the bottom discrimination mode is operable only between 16 - 328 ft and at less than 10 knts of speed.

(I think it might be that I made the setup settings incorrectly while I was installing? because I do not know my 600 kw number. how can i learn this)

Thank you for the video.

Couple of things to try.

1.) Turn off white line marker can be found in operators manual page 7.13
2.) Put sounder in manual gain mode for the high and low frequency.
3.) Turn gain up to 85 for the high frequency and low frequency.
4.) Turn down the clutter control to 0. Can be found in the operators manual page 7.7.4
5.) Turn off interference rejection. Operators manual page 7.9
6.) Please set color erase to 0. Operators manual page 7.10
7.) Please turn off white line feature. Operators manual page 7.14

Please open the menu and go to fish finder.
8.) Choose Full Screen Gain Control. Turn this on.
9.) Choose Fish Finder Setup.
10.) Choose transmission power high.
11.) What transducer are you using 600w or 1000w. Please choose according to what is on the vessel
12.) 50khz tvg set to 3 which is default
13.) 200khz tvg set to 3 which is default
14.) Choose transmit rate. Set to 20
15.)50khz echo offset please choose 0 which is default
16.) 200khz echo offset please choose 0 which is default
17.) Please turn smoothing off.

Please take another video after you have changed the settings above. Please try to include a longer video if you can.
