Is C-MAP on TZT3 Worth it?

Greetings,

I just completed the installation of a new TZT3-12 with the SCX-20 Satellite Compass.
I also have the Airmar B175H Transducer.

While I love the system, I am pondering an upgrade to the charts for my area (off San Francisco). In particular - I want the best Bathymetric charts Furuno offers (for bottom fishing).

Are the C-Map Charts that much better than the standard one that comes with the TXT3?

Any advice is much appreciated...

Thank you for your inquiry.

I went ahead and took some screen shots of the different fishing charts using TZ Pro computer software, I have a demo copy with unlock codes so I can load the different charts to show you the difference. If you have specific L/L that you would like to compare please provide them to me and I can grab more screen shots.

Left Chart is: C-Map Fishing 024
Right Chart is: S-57 vector navigation chart (Free with Machine)
