I just picked up a GP33, I want to use it to display my Loran C position. Can I just put it in my nmea2000 network with my TZT2 units or will it need it's own gps antenna?
Thanks

The TZT2 cannot display Loran without causing all my other TZT2 units to also switch to Loran. That is the problem.

So the GP33 cannot use the GPS information from the NMEA2000 to display Loran? It will need it's own GPS antenna?
Thanks

The GP33 is its own GPS unit via the provided antenna. It doesn't use alternative sources. The short list of PGN data it will accept is listed on page 9-8 of the operations manual. If looking for a unit like this without a GPS antenna, the RD33 (remote display) would have been an option because it will show TDs and use GPS from the bus. The RD33 was not designed to be it's own GPS like the GP33 is.
