I have thought about using a GP1871F for engine gauges, I currently have 2 TZT3 16" units, DFF3D, radar and a 711 AP. Besides the standard NMEA2000 information on the 1871 for engine data, what else could I do with the 1871 in this configuration?
Thanks

The GP1871F can do many things. As an engine gauge set it a good idea. It can also be used as a very large screen data display like looking at depth, heading or other data in large numbers. It can be used as backup source of GPS if picking up well in the boat etc. It is very versatile.

The GP1871F can be on the same 2000 network as the pilot and the NavNets. Just make sure to instance it properly. You could drive a route from the GP1871F to the pilot if you wish.
