Gp-7000

Just picked one up as a backup plotter.
I’m using a 4mb c-map max nt card and the plotter isn’t picking it up.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, card too large? Does unit need updating?
Thank you

While version 2 should read the card if it is good, I would recommend trying to update the machine to current software. If the software also doesn't work; then you most likely have a card reader issue that should be evaluated for repair. If the software update goes well and you can't read the map, then the map is most likely bad.

Ok great. Thanks for the reply.

Is there a chance the 4mb card is too large for the unit?

with v2 and above it supports up to 2GB so any memory used to update or mapping card needs to be 2GB or smaller.

Ok
I used the 4gb card I had in my vx2 and it didn’t work in the gp7000. Works fine in my vx2.

Vx2 has the same 2GB restriction so it is interesting that it worked for you. You might talk to c-map because they should be able to tell you compatibility based on the chip and unit. C-Map built the plotter side of that software. Hopefully with software update, you can get it working like the Vx2 did.
