GP-1971F problem

Had this unit less than a year and it worked fine for a while. Now it fails to open with the c-map microsd card inserted. Sounder works fine without the card, but with it in, the unit freezes. I got the map working a couple times, but once I try to mess with the touch screen it freezes and won't even allow me to shutdown. I have to remove the card to get shut it down, start it up, or get the sounder working. Does anyone know if this is a card/software problem or hardware?

It sounds like a problem chart card. C-map had been experiencing some problems similar to what you are experiencing. I would recommend you contact them about possibly replacing your card card.
