If I purchase the Fusion MS-BB300 Marine Black Box Stereo, without the remote control, can I control all functions through the TZT2 as long as NMEA is hooked up?
No, the Furuno only interfaces via Ethernet to Fusion. That Fusion model doesn't appear to offer Ethernet. Furuno Japan has been talking about adding NMEA 2000 support for the TZT2 but it has yet to be delivered. Coming v6.21 software will open some more Fusion compatibility with newer models but it is still via Ethernet.
It looks like the Fusion MS700 and MS750 are no longer available. Looking at the Fusion website for a model with an internal ipod dock you have the MS-UD755. Can you provide any information on the current Fusion models that are supported via ethernet? Thank you.
Those are the two that currently work via Ethernet. When Garmin purchased Fusion, some software selections were changed that causes problems with the TZT/TZT2. The newer Fusion models would not work without locking up the Furuno. The new TZT2 v6.21 and v6.01 for TZT should open up the door to most network versions of the Fusion but they will need to be tested once we have the new software. At that time, the setup sheet on our website will be updated to reflect suitable models.
Furuno USA will be testing some of the popular models and updating our documents once we get the new 6.21 software. This list will only include the models that can connect to the Furuno Ethernet, which I do not believe the RA70 offers. If the RA70 has no Ethernet, it will not be directly compatible any time soon.
Is there any update on official support for the Apollo series? I am just about to make a purchase for a new Fusion unit, and have TZT2's, but I want one I can control from the TZT2.
I'm having issues connecting my fusion radio to my Suzuki MFD(Furuno). I have the MS-RA670 and the Suzuki MFD. I've connected through Ethernet and followed the steps with the IP address etc and still to no avail. Also it seems to freeze the MFD. Anyone else have similar issues or know how to fix this?
