hi Guys

Please could you assist me with a problem i am having. A friend of mine recently bought a Furuno GP33 as a stand alone plotter as his TZT2 was having a problem finding a fix. The GP33 is connected via FI5002 junction box as he has a Navpilot 300 and pg700 heading sensor. The nav data source on the TZT2 is selected as GP33. The problem he is having is that when the TZT2 is powering up the GP33 drops all satellites and loses fix. The CAN bus is terminated correctly and the TZT2 is running on the current software. The GP 33 antenna also has a clear view of the sky. :questions

Very strange, feels like a ground loop or power issue. How is the GP33 powered? Individual or from the can bus? If both I‘d try to disconnect one of the sources, like the NMEA2000 12V wire. Just a guess.
