Just found a Furuno to B&G NMEA 6 Pin Furuno to B & G 5 Pin Y-Cable for Network. I believe it was manufactured by Furuno. Does anyone have some practical experience using this?

If it's the one sold by MaxMarine you might give them a call and ask. Otherwise, Furuno's NMEA0183 cables are all standard plugs and/or pigtails.

Cool cable, but pretty sure it's either a Maxmarine product or perhaps an Airmar cable. Couldn't find any Furuno product code the corresponds to it and typical Furuno NMEA0183 cables kinda look like this one: https://www.furunousa.com/en/products/000-154-053.
