Furuno FCV 588 interference

Hi.
I have a problem with my Furuno FCV 588 fishfinder with a TM260 transducer.
The problem I'm having is that my screen shows a lot of interferences with both frequencies 50/200. I've tried to turn off the engine and it doesn't make any difference.
I have an old transducer next to the TM260 but it is always turned off.

What do you think it is causing this interference?
Thanks.

BlueMarlin,
It looks like you may have a bigger problem than interference as your low frequency looks weak for the amount of gain you are using. I would try to doing a factory reset first. If that doesn't bring back the 588's performance I would suspect your transducer.

Thanks, I will do a factory reset and see if that makes any change.

I made the factory reset and now I think I have a better look on the low frecuency but when I turn up the gain the interferences are still there. I don’t know what it’s causing them.

I would disconnect the the spare transducer all together from the power scource. and then look at your TVG it seams to be picking up higher interrference from once it passes the first midwater showing.
