Furuno 588 with p66 picture

Hey just got a new furuno 588 with a p66 transducer. Just hoping someone could have a look and see see if everything looks normal on the screen in these pictures, as i thought it looked a bit pixilated and couldnt see any arches.

Thank you for the screen shot. I notice three things; Interference, your using 200Khz and you have ACCU-FISH turned on. Next time out change the IR setting to Medium and that should help with the interference. Just know that the beam width for a P-66 is 12 degree (200Khz) and 45 degrees (50khz), the wider the beam width the more arched shaped the returns will be. The sceond part of this is ACCU-FISH, when you turn it on it uses both frequencies even though you are only looking at one. This shortens all targets by half. Another component in all this is the vessel speed. Next time out try going 4 knots and just using 50Khz to see what your fish targets look like.
