Furuno 588 wiring installation

Hi everyone,

Read the diagrams and cant figure out how to wire this thing to my bus bar. Despite reading the directions thoroughly im confused.

There is a red cable and black cable both with 2amp fuses which I assume is ground and power cables.

Now I see within the rest of the small wires. There is another small black wire. Is that another ground that I need to install?

I do not plan to use any NMEA features with my recorder so not sure if I need to hook up the small black wire or not.

To the power system you use the RED(+) and Black(-) that are fused for power. The other black wire is the cable shield with heat shrink covering it. That shield wire should connect to your dedicated bonded ground system if you have one.
