Hello there. I have a problem with my Furuno 1870F and Suzuki 90DF model 2006. When the engine starts the Furuno screen fullfills with noise. Is there any solution for that problem? :furuno :furuno :furuno

I am sure there is. It sounds like your alternator(s) is feeding AC noise into your DC power system. I would recommend you have a dealer look at your power system. You could also look into putting your electronics on a filtered power system like a NewMar Start Guard device.

Even if I use separate battery for my unit the noise exists... :huh

Then you must have either the power or the transducer wire running alongside the wiring of something your engines are connected to OR the noise is in the freq range of the sounder and being picked up by your transducer. A transducer is basically an underwater antenna. You would need to find the source of the noise and repair it. I would think the alternator would be one of the most likely items to put your focus.

At first i want to thank you for your answers and your valuable help! So because i m not a technician aparrently... What i have to check to the alternator? And how to start fixing it?

Because it will need to be fixed once you find the source of the noise; I recommend you contact someone qualified on electrical and engine systems.
