Furuno 1815 question

Is it possible to use my Raymarine EV200 autopilot for the heading sensor for a Furuno 1815? If so, how would this be accomplished?

Thank you for any response,

Mark

The Furuno 1815 requires NMEA 0183 heading information. You would need to talk to Raymarine about what they suggest to get standard NMEA 0183 from that pilot. They have some propitiatory Seatalk NG format that sometimes isn't allow to be connected to other standard NMEA 2000 equipment. If you can get standard NMEA 2000 data, then a simple NMEA 2000 to 0183 converter should do the job. (like the Furuno IF-NMEA2k2). The question is if you can get suitable NMEA 2000 data from the pilot without something special from Raymarine.
