FM4850 VHF question

If you have a 4850 installed with two separate handset mics at the helm can you monitor two different vhf channels or are you limited to only one channel even though you have two handset HS4800? I cant find anything in the literature that states yes or no

Thank you for your inquiry. The addition of a second HS4800 handset to a complete FM4850 set does not provide the capability to monitor or transmit on a second channel. Both handsets will act as "clone" of the other and are designed for use when the handsets are being used in two different locations around the vessel. There is no transmitter/receiver circuits built into the HS4800 handset microphones themselves.
