Hello we have a FM 4800 and are trying to hook it up to a setcom MACB-Y17-1 intercom system would connect it into which wires

Don't know anything about the setcom MACB-Y17-1 intercom system. You might try contacting their support.

ok will do that, i do need the pin out for the rear mic connection and a connector to connect to it the setcom unite has 6 pins one for ptt; speaker high and low and Mic high and low and ground
Sounds like your needs exceeds what is provided as this unit isn't designed to work with an external system like that. It offers NMEA 0813 out and that is about it.

sounds like what you are saying start over with different unite. that may be ok the ne we have is not working on one channel anyway less than month old

Is there a furuno unite that has a 8 pin remote mike connection on it ?
8-Pin remote mic is a bit vague as whatever you are connecting needs to be compatible with it. Are you out buying stuff at yard sales where you have little information about what you have? The commercial FM8900 uses an 8-pin connection for its headset/mic.
