Fi-50 Instrument Covers

I thought I'd pass this along...

Like myself, many of you may have discovered that your Fi-50 instrument covers self-destruct in a pile of powder after about three years in the sun. When my first and second set disintegrated, Furuno still offered replacements (PN 000-164-559), however this is no longer the case.

Etsy to the rescue!

I recently came across an Etsy vendor who is 3D printing these covers in a (unlike Furuno) UV resistant filament, and I'm here to say that the quality is top notch. (Direct sales link removed by Forum staff)

Again, just thought I'd pass this along.

Nice tip but had to remove the active Ad link, even if you are not the one directly selling it. I have heard about 3d printed small brackets for pilot control heads and other small displays being available as well. 3d printing can be very helpful and many folks are selling nice solutions. Very smart way to get a solution for your boat. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry for busting the filter.

I guess I figured since Furuno no longer offered the cover, and it wasn't an actual competing electronic device, it wouldn't be a problem, but no worries. Thanks for allowing the rest of the post to remain, and more specifically the Etsy reference. Folks will know where to at least look. You'll need to search: "Suncover FI-50 FURUNO." The versions I purchased were offered by mareMultimedia.
