FCV295 versus FCV1150

HI,

I'm trying to figure out what the difference between these two units is. I currently have a FCV295 on my boat and am building a new boat that this new unit will be used on. The FCV1150 costs about $2K more, what do you get for the added cost? I normally fish in 100 feet of water and exclusively use the 200Khz frequency on both channels. Each channel is hooked up to a B175HW transducer and the transducers are mounted flat to each side of the hull which has a 16 degree dead rise giving me a very wide bottom and side coverage. Can the FCV1150 do this as well?

Thanks,

Jake

JG400,

The FCV1150 is the bigger brother to the FCV295. They both share many aspects as Echo Sounders, but with the FCV1150 you get the bigger 12.1" LCD, an External LAN Port (That you can connect the FCV1150 to any NAVNET Multifuction or to TimeZero), and if you connect the FCV1150 to a Satellite Compass you can utilize Heave Compensation for a stable echo presentation.

Please note that the FCV295 & FCV1150 both transmit on the following frequencies of: 28,38,50,68,82,88,107,150, and 200kHz.

- Deep Blue :)

Thanks, as I understand it the technical capabilities and resolution of the two units is the same, would that be correct?

Jake

JG400,

Yes, you are correct. The screen resolution for the FCV295 and FCV1150 units are the same.

- Deep Blue :)
