Thanks for the info! Last question.. a airmar r99 bare wire transducer from garmin wont work right?

Yes, an R-99 will work also.
You will just need to wire the transducer to a terminal strip and then create two transducer pig tails from the terminal strip to the transducer plugs.

Ok so if i understand correctly r99 garmin or furuno bare wire will both work ?

I am assuming since the R-99 is made by Airmar that Garmin's (R-99) followed the standard wiring i.e. one pair of shielded wires for high frequency and another pair for the low.

I may be able to get my hands on a r509lm. What parts/plugs do i need buy in order to connect to my fcv 1100. Like 2x 4 pin and a temp?

The 4-pin transducer plugs have a part number 000-160-159 and the temperature cable is SAP-721-202.
