FCV 585 Compatibility - Screen Issue

Hello, My FCV 585 screen is so dark I can no longer read it. It has always worked great and then one day it went dark. Every attempt to adjust it has failed. After reading this forum I am thinking it may be best to just replace the unit. Since I believe this model is no longer in production, I was wondering if there were any similar models that were interchangeable. Meaning the existing transducer and power cords would work without having to install all new equipment. As the boat stays in the water except for an annual haul-out, it would be great to find a unit to change it out with.

I appreciate any advise that anyone may have.

The FCV-588 is the direct replacement for the FCV-585.
Both the power and transducer plugs are the same.
