Fcv 1150 vs fcv 1900

A lot. The best bet would be to check each units product page on our website.
FCV1150 is a self contained, dual frequency, CW, 1kW, 2kW, or 3kW sounder.
FCV1900 is a black box that is capable of doing so much more.
It would all come down to you want and need.

Hello Dean1345,
The 1900 can be a superior sounder in many ways. But, it all depends on what you are trying to do with it.

For a single freq 28kHz, the 1150 is probably enough. But then ask yourself.
Is the 1150 12" screen big enough for you...or do you want to see more with a larger screen?
Do you want to later be upgraded to CHIRP and fish sizing by the right transducer to a 1900?

What type of vessel is it being installed on?
Will the unit be in direct sunlight?
What are you fishing for?
What depths do you plan be fishing in?
Resolution is more associated to your choice of transducer. What made you choose 28kHz?

For a single freq 28kHz, the 1150 is probably enough.

If you are planning for the future and CHIRP resolution (replacing or adding transducers later) go with the 1900. Add a CM599LM or (CHIRP 28-60 kHz & 80-130 kHz) or the CM599LH (CHIRP 28-60 kHz & 130-210kHz). This has been a great performer for the Hake fisheries in the PNW.
