Hi you all, I'm new to this forum. I own a Grand Banks 46 C that has a Furuno FCR 1030 1 meter radar array. Works like a dream, but the display/ control unit is a really ugly and bulky thing. We are. overhauling the whole instrument panel and we would like something flatter and nicer to operate the radar. I do not necessarily want to integrate the radar, I rather have a stand-alone radar picture that an overlay on the plotter.
My question is: would a 1621 or similar radar display / control unit connect to the XN8-RSB-0035 scanner? It does speak NMEA...
