FAP-5001 missing termination plug

I have a FAP-5001 autopilot head that is now missing the termination plug. The installer misplaced it, so now there is none. I do not have any other displays or remotes being used.
1) What will happen if its gone?
2) If absolutely needed, what pins (wire colors) are terminated/shorted to prevent problems?
Thanks for any help.

With the 500 series you could see if your dealer still has one (pn 000-047-017) or since Furuno no longer has them; you could make your own. Get a 7 pin NMEA cable (000-154-028) and a quarter amp 120 ohm resistor and put it between pins 3 and 4 (yellow and Green), to make your own. You can't do this with the NP700 series because the connection is diffrent. You don't want to have an open bus because you can get a large array of random problems with an open bus.

Thank you Johnny, that was exactly what I was looking for. I should have one of those resistors in my arsenal of capacitors, resistors, etc. Ill have to find a 7 pin as I dont have one.
Have a great day and you always pull my butt out of trouble. ;-)
