FAP-5001 damaged screen

We are seeking to upgrade our nearly blacked out autopilot screen. Autopilot works and the screen is a FAP-5001. Are there any plug and play compatible screens for use with this? Thanks for the help in advance.

There are no more control heads available new for sale for the older 500 series pilot. You do find them from time to time on the used market. The units you would be looking for are the FAP5001 (500), FAP5011 (511), FAP5020 (520), and FAP6011 (611).

If we went to a newer model control head we would need to change the rest of the system?

Yes, the pilot would have to be replaced.
