FA70 How to Set 1W Mode (SOTDMA)?

The FA70 AIS specs say that in SOTDMA mode, the output power can be set to either 5W or 1W.

I cannot see any menu setting to decrease the power to 1W.

Please advise how to do this.

This function is useful for when a vessel does not want to be picked up by Satellite AIS but still wants to remain visible to localised traffic.

According to the manual, you need to change your "Cargo Type" to type "8: Tanker(s)" in the [Ship Type] menu, the [Low Power Mode] menu appears on the screen. There you can select [Low Power (1W)] to reduce transmission power to 1W.
