E mail from GPS store cloud connection ending?

There was a post about this not long ago that I cannot find. I believe it only affects the TZT2 units, not TZT3 or XL, however. What I am curious to experiment with is whether it is possible to do it by connecting an iPad running TZiBoat to the TZT2 and doing a local synch if the cloud synch is no longer available on the TZT2. I don't see why that wouldn't work. Less convenient but easier than copying waypoints.

I have a large boat with TZT3s and a smaller boat with TZT2s and the cloud synch has been really useful to me so this feature will be missed.
