DRS4DL+ Radar Video Alarm

Dear All,

I have just installed a DRS4DL+ with TZT19F. After going for TX, it shows the error at the upper part of the screen: "Radar Video Alarm", and shows no image at the Radar.

Did try replacing the cable from scanner to screen, and updating sw. None of this worked.

Have anyone experienced this?

Looks like reflected RF like water or something that creates a ring for all 360 degrees. Have you opened the dome to check for water? Water condensation or something that reflects the energy all 360 is rare for domes unless you have lowered mast to allow water or something inside. It looks like a water reflection but if the boat is inside a building getting RF bounce all 360, maybe take it outside. Whatever the cause the return signal is VERY strong and the tune voltage doesn't seem to be able to deal with it.

Yeah, Actually there's no water because It's a brand new installation.

If it is new, something is wrong because in all my years, I haven't see one truly out of the box. I would recommend sending that into Camas for checkout if you can't get it sorted. The TZT3 software is a few versions back but should still support the radar. It obviously is communicating (so not the cable) and the radar monitor shows information. Radar monitor seems to reflect something odd with the tune voltage on the receive side. I guess it couldn't hurt to try upgrading the MFD just in case. v3.80.1 is online under the product page.

After the MFD is updated with current software, I would try to factory "hardware" reset the radar under the RADAR menu. (at the bottom of the menu)
