DFF3D

I have a DFF3D, TZ2 MFD and transom mount 165Hz transducer. The DFF3D works great, drifting, trolling and at slower speed, but i get "wacky displays" at somewhat higher speed and on plane.
I have a single outboard, somewhat narrow beam boat (7' 6") with tabs. My transducer is installed about 12" to the starboard of the outboard. Also, my 50/200Hz transducer works great with the MFD. I am thinking that the "spinning prop" is within the 120 degree cone angle (but the prop is maybe 12" behind the transducer) and at speed, this turbulence affects the display.

First, thoughts on this??

Second, I want to adjust the port beam angle and beam width of the DFF3D.

Second, do you think this will help and, what is the beam width?

Gus,
It would be nice to see a couple of screen shots of what you are seeing.
Just know when you are adjusting the Beam Angle/Width, you are only adjusting this in the Triple/Single beam window. You are not adjusting the TX width only the RX. When viewing the Triple beam window just tap to bring up the menu and you will see how to adjust the Beam Width/Angle.
