DFF3D BOX PLACEMENT

Can i place dff3d box horizontally on the deck if my console because of no space on the walls of my rib or it's only mounted vertical on the wall?

Mine has been mounted horizontally for a year with no issues. What is critical is that the location be dry and that there is proper strain relief on the cables connecting to the unit. There is no requirement in the instructions for vertical mounting.
