DFF3 vs DFF1 UHD with maxsea pro

Hello to everyone , I want to make an update on my setup ( Maxsea -DFF3D-p66-FCV588) and I am thinking of installing a B175L tranducer. The Question would be, which sounder box would perform Better for single fish targeting near Bottom in water depths of 60-140m DFF3 with a fixef Frequency of lets say 42KHz or a DFF1UHD using Chirp function)

Never compared the two machines like that. However I would imagine that if you used the DFF3 using a Short 1 Pulse Length the returns would be pretty similar. Do you need to use a flush mounted transducer?

Well, I have already the B54 installed with its fairing block in the midline so I can't install another fairing Block as it would cause turbulence ..
