DFF-3D Read Depth problem

Hello, i'l trying to read the DPT value from DFF-3D through the Actisense NMEA0183 but without any result. I also activate the DPT data via Actisense Reader. I read the depth only through the TimeZero program. Does anyone know where the problem may be? Thanks

This is something you would want to speak to Nobeltec about. If running TimeZero it is the PC that is getting the depth from the sounder and it would the PC that would need to pass that depth infomation over to the Actisense. I would recommend you contact Nobeltec support with full infomation on your interface setup. It sounds like a setting is needed to output the depth infomation. They know and support their product and I am sure they will point you to the right area.

There is no 0183 or 2000 nmea connections. It's all Ethernet.
Time Zero will get depth if you go to connection wizard and look for it in the Navnet interface.
It's not necessary to listen to a Furuno MFD to get the depth.

Thanks for the answer, basically what i need is to read the depth value from my own software, from TimeZero i can't export it in real time so i'm testing via NMEA 2000 and 0183.

In TZ, you can output data via the connection wizard, including DPT to a serial port or an IP tcp or udp port. If it's for other software, the IP connection would be simplest.

I'm curious what NMEA 0183 or 2000 source you'd be connecting to.

About the TZ output, i receive all sensors data except the depth value and while i have select to output the depth value from TZ, i also tried to receive data via udp and tcp sockets too but i don't receive anything. The output from 0183 is the following:

I see GPS, heading, date/time, and lots of good infomation there but as you said; not depth. What did Nobeltec support tell you?

They tell me to change from TimeZero output menu the NMEA Talker from default value "||" (Integrated Instrumentation) to "GP" (Global Positioning System Receiver)

Have you seen depth in the data stream? From the last infomation depth still wasn't turned on from the PC NMEA port; regardless of talker. Until depth is passed, you can expect the receive unit to get it.

no unfortunately, i only see the depth data through Timezero, also i have set through Timezero to include the depth data in the output of Actisense NMEA 0183. I'm thinking maybe the problem is with NMEA 0183, I'll try to update it, all the other informations except the depth data, i receive them normaly.
