Hi,
I have two different problems on the sonar Furuno CSH-5. The ships were not together and is not easy to use components from one to the another.
Basically the first problem is as follows:
After pressing the power button a message appears on the screen "NO TRX". Transceiver is OK, because I connected the correct TRX. If I lift transducer by hand, and I press the POWER transducer rises and stops after UP limit switch activated, but still stands the same message on the screen. Power supply is OK.
Do you have some advice because I do not have any service documentation.
Another problem is on another ship. Sonar is CSH-5 also.
Sonar is mostly worked OK, but with tilt angles of less than 9 degrees appears strange echo or a false reflection in the second quadrant. Those echoes are in red and yellow and fills almost the entire second quadrant to 150m range. The same happens with other correct TRX. Furthermore this same sonar sometimes will not turn on !? Everything turns on normally but there is no any echo on the screen. I measured the voltage and was not stable, and the electricians changed automatic regulator on generator. After this, strange echo remains, and sonar can be turned on only if the output is switched from 9 to 10 or vice versa. It seems that the power supply is stable now, but I still can not solve these mysteries. Is there any advice for this case?
thank you in advance
Nick
